President's Message

Greetings and welcome to the virtual home of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Mu Theta Omega Chapter. We are a chapter that believes in the value of positive and impactful service to the Central Texas community! Our annual $10,000 scholarship efforts to deserving high school students for greater than 10 years include our perpetual partnership with The Pearls of Service Foundation of Central Texas, volunteer efforts at the local food bank, and donation of art materials to a community childrens medical center for pediatric patients during hospitalization, showcase just a few of many Supreme Service accomplishments in and with the Central Texas community Mu Theta Omega is excited to share!

"The Mighty" Mu Theta Omega Chapter was chartered on June 17, 1978, by 18 women committed to the sorority's mission "Service to all Mankind!"; We have grown to greater than 100 active members and served the Central Texas Area over the past four decades. Our chapter's 2024 theme is "Leveling Up - Accountability and Connecting our Sisterhood in Service" as we elevate our commitment to service and the legacy of our sisterhood. Mu Theta Omega will continue to engage and provide service to our community under the leadership of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed and her platform "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood" with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® International Programs of Strengthen Our Sisterhood, Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community. An invitation is extended to all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® in the Killeen, Ft. Hood, Harker Heights, Belton, Temple, Copperas Cove, and Kempner areas to visit Mu Theta Omega. Whether members are in the area for a short time desiring to connect or an inactive member of our sorority, or a general member seeking a new chapter home, you are welcome to join us for a chapter meeting every third Saturday from September to June or contact us to obtain information about reactivation or transfer.

Thank you for visiting the website of Mu Theta Omega! You are cordially invited to visit our virtual home and our social media pages, under the name Killeen AKAs, frequently for information on our events and service projects. Again, welcome! We look forward to engaging with you at our upcoming community events and programs of service to Central Texas!
