President's Message

Greetings all and welcome to the virtual home of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® Mu Theta Omega Chapter. We are excited to share all of the great things we are doing in and with the Central Texas community! From our partnership with the chapter’s non-profit foundation, Pearls of Service Foundation of Central Texas, to award $10,000 in scholarships to Central Texas high school seniors, to our volunteer efforts at the local food bank, Mu Theta Omega is a chapter that believes in the value of education and community service.

“The Mighty” Mu Theta Omega Chapter was charted on June 17, 1978, and has served the Central Texas Area for over 40 years since. Our 2022 theme is, “Sisterhood and service with a smile”, and it is still our business to be of “service to all mankind”! Mu Theta Omega will continue to support our community through Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service℠, with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® International Programs of HBCU for Life: A Call to Action, Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts! and Global Impact.

All members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® in the Killeen, Ft. Hood, Harker Heights, Belton, Temple, Copperas Cove, and Kempner areas are invited to visit Mu Theta Omega. Whether members are in the area for 2 months, 2 years or want to make Central Texas their forever home, you are welcome to join us for a chapter meeting every third Saturday for the months of September to June.

Thank you for visiting the website of Mu Theta Omega! You are cordially invited to visit this page as well as our social media pages, under the name KilleenAKAs, as often as you would like. Thank you again for your interest in the service Mu Theta Omega provides to Central Texas, and we look forward to your presence (whether virtually or in-person) in our upcoming community events!

Sincerely,

Cantresa M. Scineaux, M.Ed., President
